Safety Statements have been a legal requirement for all businesses since the introduction of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 and more recently the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005. The Safety Statement is the company’s documented Health & Safety Management programme for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of its employees and others who may be involved in the business such as Contractors, Visitors etc. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) enforces the law in relation to Health & Safety and regularly prosecutes offences under the Acts. Convictions in such cases may result in businesses being fined for non-compliance.
If you choose to engage Wright Safety Services to prepare your safety statement, we will provide a personal service whereby one of our safety consultants visits your premises to undertake an analysis of your business operations and activities.
The site visit will ensure that we identify all of the potential workplace hazards and risks that your employees and others may be exposed to during the course of their work and that all appropriate risk assessments are prepared and all appropriate control measures are identified. We will then prepare a comprehensive Safety Statement to meet your particular legal requirements. Additionally we will undertake an annual review & update of the document as required by law.
Insurance Risk Surveying
As Insurance Risk surveyors we evaluate the possible financial risk to insurance companies posed by their existing Clients and potential new Clients.
Having undertaken Risk Surveys on the premises & activities of these Clients we provide insurance underwriters with detailed reports on the improvements that are required to be introduced to reduce risk to acceptable levels or advice as to whether insurance cover should be offered at all.
Our risk surveys may form the basis for the terms and conditions of an insurance policy. We survey businesses in all sectors from Hospitality and Engineering works to Waste Management facilities.
While the majority of the work we undertake is for Underwriters we also undertake surveys for general insurance companies & brokers.
