manual handlingIt is a legal requirement that all Employees who undertake any pushing, pulling, carrying or lifting in the course of their duties shall receive Manual Handling Training.

Our Manual Handling Course is designed to meet the legal requirements set out in the Manual Handling of loads regulations.

Our tutor is a qualified Manual Handling Instructor who has provided MHT to many employees over a wide range of sectors including Hospitality and the care sector.

Manual Handling

Aim of Manual Handling Course:

To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to lift and move loads in accordance with good manual handling techniques during this manual handling training course.

Content of Manual Handling Training Course:

  • Introduction to Manual Handling
  • Legislation pertaining to Manual Handling
  • Physiology and Anatomy
  • Manual Handling Risk Assessments
  • Proper lifting / manual handling techniques- demonstration and practical

Duration: 3 hr manual handling training course.

Maximum number of Participants:  We can train up to 12 participants at your premises.

Manual Handling Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination

Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded with a Wright Safety Services certificate signed by a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner & Level 6 FETAC certified MH Instructor.

FOOD  HYGIENE COURSE (LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2)

Aim:  To gain knowledge of the legislation covering food hygiene and the HACCP system and to study the risks involved with food handling and how to minimize these risks.

Objectives: The objectives of the training is to give trainees an understanding of:

  3. Bacterial contamination
  4. Correct food storage and delivery method

Hygiene of Premises:- Rodents, Insects & Pest Control, Enforcement Officers, waste control
Cleaning:- Reasons, Definitions, Safety, Equipment, Steps
Legal Requirement for HACCP/Introduction to HACCP
Main points in controlling HACCP in developing, maintaining & controlling HACCP system
Complaints Procedure/Return policy/Sickness Policy

FOOD HYGIENE COURSE – LEVEL 3
1378661720This course is intended for those who have responsibility for managing food safety, those who supervise staff in food preparation, cooking, service of food, handling and storage.

Managers and Supervisors from the hotel and catering industry are required to take this course.

Aim: To gain knowledge of the legislation covering food hygiene and implement and manage the HACCP system in your establishment.

Objectives:
The objectives of the training are to give participants an understanding of:

  1. The importance of food hygiene
  2. Revision of Level 1 & 2
  3. Implement and Manage the HACCP System
  4. Understand Food Safety Operation/Management

Course Content:

  • Revise Food Hygiene Level 1 & 2
  • Food Safety Operations
  • Food Safety Management
  • Main points in controlling HACCP in developing, maintaining & managing the Food Operation based on the HACCP system.

Fire Safety Course

To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to work in accordance with legislative requirements.

Content of Fire Safety Course:

  • Introduction to Fire Safety & use of Extinguishers
  • Causes of Fires
  • Fire Prevention measures
  • Evacuation Procedures & Introduction to Extinguishers
  • Practical use of Extinguishers outdoors using various “hand-held Extinguishers” and blankets on various categories of real fires.

Duration: 3 Hours Fire Safety Training session.
Maximum number of Participants:  We train groups to a maximum of 12 participants at your premises.
Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination using each of the fire Extinguishers.
Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded with a Wright Safety Services certificate signed by a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner.
