First Aid Responder Course

The aim of this First Aid Responder course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to be a First Aid Responder.

Course Objectives:

  • To train participants in how to deal with life-threatening (hyphen) conditions prior to hospital admission.
  • To train participants how to provide care preventing further harm from non-life-threatening (note the double hyphen) conditions.
  • Provide pre-hospital First Aid Response in a wide range of environments including home, work and recreational settings.
  • Display the required skills of composure, competence and self-confidence

Assessment: Participants will be assessed on First Aid Response skills including CPR

Duration: 18 hours (over 3 Days)

Certification: On successful completion of the course participants will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Responder Certificate

 Refresher Training: 2 day refresher course after 2 years
